- • Lead a global, distributed engineering organization responsible for IQVIA Digital’s audience and data platforms, managing engineering managers and senior engineers (FTE and contractors).
- • Own end-to-end delivery, architecture, and operational performance of APIs, data pipelines, and web platforms that power HCP and audience capabilities across IQVIA Digital products.
- • Drive consistent engineering practices across design, development, deployment, and operations to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of core data assets including HCP, HCN, identity, and ingestion pipelines.
- • Define and execute technology strategy aligned with IQVIA Digital’s business priorities, partnering closely with Product, Data, and Commercial teams to deliver against roadmap commitments.
- • Influence senior leadership and align cross-functional stakeholders to ensure technical execution supports business outcomes and strategic goals.
- • Establish and enforce standardized SDLC, release, and operational processes in alignment with IQVIA Digital engineering practices to enable predictable, high-quality delivery across squads and platforms.
- • Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and cost efficiency while ensuring optimal resource allocation across engineering teams and contractor engagements.
- • Coach and develop engineering managers and senior technical leaders to build a strong leadership pipeline and succession plans.
- • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence within the engineering organization.
- • Oversee the modernization of legacy systems into scalable, cloud-native web-based platforms, including internal tools and admin interfaces.
- • Ensure secure application design through implementation of enterprise authentication patterns such as SSO and RBAC.
- • Lead the adoption of modern engineering tooling and AI-assisted development practices (e.g., Cursor) into the software development lifecycle.
- • Maintain expertise in and oversee implementation of API architectures (REST, GraphQL), data engineering platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Spark), and cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker).
- • Guide backend engineering using Python, Java, and Node.js with API and ORM-based data access patterns.
- • Oversee modern web application architecture including JavaScript/TypeScript, React-based frameworks (Next.js), and server-side rendering.
- • Support mobile application development teams using native (Swift/Kotlin) and cross-platform (React Native) architectures as needed.
- • Manage CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling using GitHub, GitLab, and related platforms to ensure efficient and secure code delivery.
🎯 Requirements
- • 12+ years in software development, including leadership of large-scale engineering teams
- • 8+ years managing engineering managers and/or senior technical leaders
- • Proven experience leading global, distributed teams and complex delivery organizations
- • Experience in product-led organizations with strong collaboration between Engineering and Product Management
- • Track record of aligning technical execution to business outcomes
- • Strong background in API architecture, data engineering, and cloud-native environments (AWS, Snowflake preferred)
