- • Accordion Partners, LLC is seeking a Director, Supply Chain, Transformation to join its elite team of finance and technology experts. This pivotal role is central to our mission of driving value creation for private equity-backed companies by providing strategic insights and optimizing operational efficiency. As a key member of the Transformation Practice, you will leverage your deep expertise in supply chain management to address complex client challenges, enhance profitability, and support strategic initiatives. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact within a high-growth, entrepreneurial firm that is at the forefront of private equity's value creation ecosystem.
- • In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with clients' overarching business objectives. You will cultivate and nurture robust relationships with key client stakeholders, gaining a profound understanding of their unique business needs and challenges to deliver bespoke supply chain solutions. A core aspect of your day-to-day will involve leading and meticulously overseeing consulting projects from inception to completion, ensuring strict adherence to timelines, scope, and budget. You will also play a crucial role in mentoring and developing junior consultants and planners, fostering an environment of continuous learning, innovation, and knowledge sharing. This includes coordinating and managing teams of consultants and analysts to effectively execute project tasks and deliverables.
- • Your responsibilities will extend to designing and implementing sophisticated supply chain models and processes that bolster business capabilities and operational requirements, striking a critical balance between cost, efficiency, and service level objectives. You will be adept at analyzing large datasets to identify critical trends and formulate data-driven recommendations. Developing advanced forecasting models to predict supply and demand, optimize inventory levels, and reduce costs will be a key function. Furthermore, you will utilize cutting-edge analytics and machine learning tools to refine decision-making processes and collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to integrate market intelligence, customer insights, and promotional plans into demand forecasts.
- • A significant part of this role involves determining optimal inventory levels and reorder points to effectively balance supply with demand, and developing strategic approaches for managing inventory across diverse locations and stages within the supply chain. You will devise strategies to minimize stockouts while preventing overstocking, thereby optimizing inventory levels across the entire supply chain to reduce costs and enhance cash flow. Employing best practices, tools, and technologies to elevate efficiency and accuracy in supply chain planning will be paramount. You will conduct thorough analyses of current supply chain processes, from procurement through distribution, identifying bottlenecks and implementing targeted solutions in inventory management, procurement, production planning, and logistics.
- • You will also be instrumental in selecting, implementing, and optimizing critical Supply Chain management systems such as ERP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and advanced planning software. Training staff on new technologies and processes to ensure seamless adoption and proper utilization will be essential. Configuring software settings to precisely align with the company's supply chain processes and working collaboratively with various departments, including production, procurement, and logistics, to ensure supply chain strategies are in sync with overall business goals are key duties. You will also communicate effectively with suppliers and partners to foster enhanced supply chain collaboration and integration, and negotiate contracts while managing supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards.
- • Identifying potential risks within the supply chain and developing proactive mitigation strategies, as well as preparing robust contingency plans to manage supply chain disruptions, will be critical. You will train company staff on new supply chain processes and technologies, develop educational materials, and deliver presentations to stakeholders on supply chain best practices. Continuous assessment of supply chain performance and the implementation of data-driven improvements, including the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure efficiency, will be ongoing. Staying abreast of industry trends, challenges, and advancements in supply chain management, and participating in relevant professional organizations are also expected. Travel to client sites will be required as needed.
