Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Kick-start your career with a dual-study Bachelor’s degree in Business Informatics (Wirtschaftsinformatik) at Nagarro Engineer, one of Europe’s fastest-growing technology consultancies. You will alternate between theory blocks at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) and hands-on practice at our offices in Kronberg, Pirmasens or Freiburg, graduating after three years with both a fully accredited university degree and three years of paid, real-world project experience.
- • From day one you are a full member of our SAP delivery teams. Instead of shadowing, you receive a concrete, clearly scoped work package inside one or more SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, WM, EWM, S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, etc.) and are expected to deliver tangible results. Typical assignments include configuring business processes, writing functional specifications, building test cases, analysing data migration requirements or prototyping Fiori apps—always guided by an experienced buddy and your personal mentor.
- • Client exposure starts early. During your practice phases you will accompany senior colleagues to customer sites across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, learning how large enterprises run SAP in production. You will observe workshops, take minutes, prepare demo systems and gradually take ownership of smaller sub-streams. This direct customer contact sharpens your communication skills and gives you a 360° view of enterprise IT challenges.
- • We map out a holistic, 36-month learning journey that is revisited every semester. Together with your mentor you set personal development goals, choose certification paths (e.g., SAP Certified Development Associate, Scrum Master, ISTQB) and define thesis topics that solve real business problems for our clients. Your academic timetable and project assignments are synchronised so that theory and practice reinforce each other.
- • Remote-first culture: While customer visits and team events require occasional travel, most collaboration happens via MS Teams, Miro and Jira. You can work from home, from one of our offices, or from any co-working space in Germany—whichever maximises your productivity and study schedule.
- • Personal support system: Each dual student is paired with (1) a practice supervisor who ensures your project tasks align with university objectives, (2) a study coordinator who tracks your academic progress and exam schedule, and (3) a “Nagarro Buddy” who helps you navigate company life. Monthly feedback sessions and an open-door policy guarantee that questions are answered within hours, not weeks.
- • Beyond SAP: Depending on your interests you can rotate into adjacent fields such as cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, GCP), low-code/no-code platforms, data analytics or intelligent automation. These rotations broaden your portfolio and increase your future market value.
- • Community & culture: You will join a cohort of 30+ dual students and 200+ graduates across Nagarro in Germany. Regular knowledge-sharing meetups, hackathons and coding katas create a vibrant peer network. Our “OneNagarro” initiative ensures that ideas from students are heard at board level.
- • Impact you can see: By the end of your third year you will have helped at least two enterprise clients go live with new SAP capabilities, automated processes that save thousands of hours per year, and built a bachelor thesis that is immediately implemented in production. Your code, configuration and concepts will be used by tens of thousands of end-users.
- • Career trajectory: 95 % of our dual students sign a permanent contract before graduation. Typical next roles include SAP Consultant, Product Owner, Technical Architect or Data Analyst. Fast-track promotion to Senior Consultant within 24 months after graduation is common for high performers.
🎯 Requirements
- • University entrance qualification (Abitur, Fachabitur or equivalent) with a technical or business focus and the legal right to study at a German state university
- • Strong analytical thinking and affinity for both business processes and IT systems; first experience with ERP, databases or programming (e.g., school projects, internships, hobby coding) is a plus
- • Excellent German (C1) and solid English (B2) communication skills; you can explain complex topics to non-technical stakeholders and write clear documentation
- • High degree of self-organisation: you can reconcile university deadlines, client deliverables and personal life without constant supervision
- • Willingness to travel up to 25 % within the DACH region for customer workshops and go-live support
🏖️ Benefits
- • Full salary from day one, rising each semester, plus overtime pay and travel expense reimbursement
- • 30 days of paid vacation per year, flexible working hours and the option to work from anywhere in Germany during theory phases
- • Individual certification budget (up to €2,500 per year) for SAP, AWS, Scrum, ISTQB or language courses
- • Modern equipment package (MacBook Pro or Dell XPS, noise-cancelling headset, 4K monitor, €300 home-office stipend) and access to premium co-working spaces
