- • This role is a freelance Dutch Culture and Language Expert position focused on evaluating and refining AI-generated Marathi language content to improve AI systems' understanding, generation, and cultural relevance of the language. Your work will directly contribute to training more accurate, natural, and culturally aware language models used in global AI applications.
- • You will perform structured linguistic evaluation tasks from a remote home office with a flexible schedule, dedicating approximately 20 hours per week over a 4-week project period, helping bridge the gap between machine output and human-like language proficiency in Marathi.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include: evaluating AI-generated responses for factual accuracy, grammatical correctness, and cultural appropriateness; identifying linguistic or contextual issues in AI output and providing refined, high-quality rewritten versions; creating natural, contextually relevant prompts and responses in Marathi to enrich conversational training datasets; conducting preference ranking tasks based on factuality and locality; performing grammaticality checks and suggesting improvements to text quality; collaborating asynchronously with global linguistic and AI development teams to share insights and ensure consistency in evaluation standards.

🎯 Requirements
- • Background as a teacher or professional experience in teaching, writing, or linguistic work in Marathi (preferred but not mandatory)
- • Excellent written communication skills in Marathi with strong grammatical accuracy and attention to linguistic detail
- • Demonstrated familiarity with cultural nuances, idiomatic expressions, and regional variations in Marathi language use
- • Comfort with structured linguistic tasks including preference ranking (factuality & locality), prompt-response writing, grammaticality checks, and text improvement
