  • • Serve as the primary expert on ecommerce regulatory compliance across global marketplaces including Amazon, Walmart.com, Target.com, eBay, Tmall, TikTok Shop, JD, and Mercado Libre.
  • • Monitor, interpret, and apply evolving product listing regulations, safety standards, labeling requirements, and marketplace policies to ensure brand compliance.
  • • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, logistics, content, and customer success to align product listings, packaging, and documentation with regional regulatory mandates.
  • • Conduct audits of brand product listings to identify and remediate compliance risks before they result in account suspensions, product removals, or financial penalties.
  • • Maintain an up-to-date internal knowledge base of regulatory changes across 60+ global marketplaces, translating complex legal and technical requirements into actionable guidelines for brand partners.
  • • Work directly with global brands to provide guidance on compliance strategies, documentation submissions, and regulatory appeals processes.
  • • Partner with Pattern’s AI and data teams to identify patterns in regulatory violations and recommend automation opportunities to scale compliance monitoring.
  • • Respond to marketplace notifications, compliance alerts, and enforcement actions with timely, accurate, and strategically informed resolutions.
  • • Track and report on compliance metrics including violation rates, resolution times, and marketplace penalty trends to inform operational improvements.
  • • Represent Pattern in regulatory discussions with marketplace teams, providing feedback on policy ambiguities and advocating for clearer guidelines that benefit sellers.
  • • Stay current on international trade laws, product safety standards (e.g., CE, FCC, UL, RoHS, Prop 65), and country-specific restrictions (e.g., EU REACH, UKCA, Canada Consumer Product Safety Act).
  • • Proactively anticipate regulatory shifts in key markets and prepare brand partners with advance guidance to avoid disruptions in sales or inventory.
  • • Document and standardize compliance workflows to ensure consistency across global operations and support onboarding of new brand clients.
  • • Participate in internal training sessions to educate internal teams on regulatory best practices and marketplace-specific compliance nuances.
  • • Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity when handling sensitive brand product information and regulatory documentation.
  • • Balance speed and accuracy in high-volume environments where regulatory changes can impact revenue within hours.
  • • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Pattern’s proprietary compliance tools by providing user feedback and feature requests based on real-world challenges.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven experience in ecommerce regulatory compliance, product safety standards, or marketplace policy enforcement
  • • Deep familiarity with regulations on Amazon, Walmart, eBay, or other major global marketplaces
  • • Ability to interpret and apply complex legal and technical documentation across multiple jurisdictions
  • • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in high-pressure environments
  • • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced tech or ecommerce environment
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for translating compliance requirements to non-technical stakeholders
