- • The Education Consultant - Technology role at CDW Corporation is pivotal in enabling educational institutions to leverage Google Workspace for Education effectively, ensuring secure, scalable, and optimized technology environments that support teaching, learning, and administrative operations. This position bridges technical expertise with customer engagement, directly impacting client success and satisfaction in the education sector.
- • The person will manage Google for Education infrastructure for EDU clients, including setup, configuration, auditing, and evaluation of Google Workspace for Education environments. They will present the value of CDW Amplified for Education Audit, trainings, and other services; discover, analyze, and identify customer requirements; assist account managers in customer engagement strategy; scope technical engagements; deliver consultative Audit kickoff calls and consultations; work with technician teams to provide support and troubleshooting; counsel customer and internal teams on Google Workspace for Education configuration and deployment specifics; offer training and insight to Education IT Admins on technologies including the Admin Console, Google Cloud Directory Sync, Google Plus, Standard and Teaching/Learning upgrades; act as a contributing member on the Updates & Analysis Team; stay current on Google Workspace for Education changes and modifications; and support customers as needed when escalated from the support team.

- • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in Google Workspace for Education administration and optimization, strengthen consultative and presentation skills through client-facing engagements, gain experience in enterprise-level IT project scoping and execution, and build a proven track record in enabling educational institutions to achieve safe, effective, and innovative technology use—positioning them for advancement in education technology consulting, IT strategy, or customer success leadership.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, OR 7 years total Information Technology experience including 3+ years of professional systems administration experience.
- • Familiarity with the Google Workspace for Education admin console and proven ability to manage Google Workspace for Education in an education institution (5+ years preferred).
- • Exceptional customer service orientation, strong documentation skills, and the ability to convey technical information and recommendations clearly and concisely.
