- • The Educational Consultant (Math or STEM) role at Curriculum Associates supports the company’s mission to improve K–8 education through award-winning programs like i-Ready, serving a third of the nation’s students. This per diem position is ideal for retired or transitioning educators who want to remain engaged in school communities while contributing to equitable, high-quality math instruction.
- • Day to day, the consultant will facilitate professional development and training for teachers and school leaders, deliver on-site support using i-Ready and Ready programs, analyze educational data to inform instruction, coordinate workshops tailored to participant needs, and maintain detailed records of training activities while engaging in ongoing feedback and coaching cycles.
- • The consultant will work closely with the Senior Director of Professional Learning, sales teams, and other Curriculum Associates professionals, joining a mission-driven organization of over 2,500 employees dedicated to improving classrooms through innovative, research-based educational technology and support.
- • In this role, the consultant will deepen expertise in Common Core math standards, strengthen facilitation and data-informed coaching skills, gain experience in educational consulting and professional development delivery, and contribute directly to improving math instruction and equity in classrooms across New Jersey and beyond.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree and at least 2+ years of experience teaching mathematics, coaching math teachers, or delivering math professional development
- • Strong working knowledge of Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (Grades 6–8), including content and practice standards
- • Fluency with digital tools for online assessments and comfort discussing and applying data with educators
- • Understanding of adult learning principles and ability to apply them to professional development to meet learning objectives
- • Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, communication, time management, and organizational skills with attention to detail
- • Proficiency with Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with online meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, WebEx) preferred
