- • Develop and deliver CDI education for Clinical Documentation Specialists and physicians.
- • Analyze documentation and coding trends to identify opportunities for quality improvement.
- • Partner with CDI, coding, compliance, and operational leaders to drive documentation excellence and workflow standardization.
- • Create and deliver engaging education programs on clinical documentation, coding guidelines, regulatory standards, and CDI best practices.
- • Provide coaching, mentoring, onboarding, and ongoing development for CDI staff and physicians.
- • Monitor CDI metrics, conduct audits, analyze trends, and recommend performance improvement initiatives.
- • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on clinical documentation integrity, documentation guidelines, and CDI-related technology platforms.
- • Collaborate with coding, compliance, and operational teams to ensure documentation supports accurate coding, reimbursement, and regulatory compliance.
- • Lead or support cross-functional projects, system implementations, workflow enhancements, and documentation standardization initiatives.
- • Improve provider documentation and query practices to accurately reflect patient severity, quality outcomes, and care delivered.
- • Support day-to-day CDI operations and assist with complex documentation scenarios as business needs require.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active U.S. Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- • Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- • 3–5 years of inpatient acute care CDI and auditing experience.
- • 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience in a medical-surgical, ICU, telemetry, or emergency department setting.
- • Strong knowledge of CDI practices, ICD-10, MS-DRG/APR-DRG methodology, and healthcare documentation standards.
- • Experience presenting, coaching, educating, and influencing multidisciplinary teams.
- • Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

- • Base pay range: $50,640.00 - $137,481.25 per year.
- • Eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 10.00%.
