- • As an Electrical Merchandising Associate at Kojo Technologies, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and usability of the company’s electrical product catalog, directly supporting commercial construction companies in sourcing materials more efficiently and contributing to Kojo’s mission of transforming a $10 trillion global industry through technology-driven innovation.
- • You will maintain and enhance the integrity of product data by reviewing, updating, and organizing electrical items to enable seamless search, sourcing, and ordering workflows, acting as a key data steward between merchandising, product, and operations teams.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and updating product information for accuracy, consistency, and completeness; conducting QA on product matches across the team; processing catalog queues involving missing information, duplicates, and miscategorized items; organizing catalog categories to improve intuitiveness and searchability; maintaining links between related and substitute items to support purchasing workflows; and collaborating with Product and Merchandising teams by delivering clean, reliable data that powers downstream operations.
- • You will work within a fast-growing, remote-first construction technology company founded in 2018 that is dedicated to modernizing how building materials are bought and sold, with a focus on reducing inefficiencies in a sector where materials constitute up to 40% of project costs.
- • This role offers the opportunity to develop deep expertise in electrical product merchandising within a high-impact tech environment, gain experience with data governance and catalog management systems, and contribute to tangible improvements in customer experience and operational efficiency—potentially leading to full-time employment based on performance.
🎯 Requirements
- • 1–2 years of experience in electrical distribution, supply, or contractor roles (e.g., receptionist, inside sales support, purchasing admin, catalog/data entry) or hands-on experience merchandising electrical product data.
- • Familiarity with core electrical products and distribution workflows, including conduit, fittings, wiring, breakers, panels, and lighting.
- • Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets for data manipulation, including sorting, filtering, copy/paste, and preferably experience with basic formulas like VLOOKUP or pivot tables.
- • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus and accuracy when working with large datasets.
- • Reliability in meeting weekly accuracy and throughput goals, openness to feedback, and willingness to learn new tools and processes.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Eligibility for a new hire equity grant upon hire.
- • Access to Kojo’s full suite of perks and benefits for US-based full-time employees (applicable upon conversion to full-time).
- • 100% remote work flexibility across North and South America, with alignment to local business hours.
- • Inclusive workplace committed to equal opportunity and diversity, including consideration of qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records per San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
- • Opportunity to work at a fast-growing construction technology company tackling a $10 trillion global industry with meaningful impact on infrastructure, housing, and sustainability.
