- • As the Electronics Engineering Manager at CoMind Technologies Inc., you will lead the development of cutting-edge neuromonitoring hardware that directly contributes to improving global brain health by enabling safer, more accurate diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.
- • You will drive the technical vision and execution for all electronics and FPGA systems, ensuring compliance with medical device standards while bridging innovation with manufacturability in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include owning the technical roadmap for electronics and FPGA development, aligning hardware design with product and system requirements across the full lifecycle.
- • You will lead system integration, hardware bring-up, verification, and performance validation of complex electronic systems, ensuring they meet stringent safety and reliability benchmarks.
- • You will manage and mentor a team of 3-8 electronics and FPGA engineers, setting clear priorities, conducting performance reviews, and fostering individual growth through tailored development plans.
- • You will architect and deliver high-speed mixed-signal electronic systems, including multi-layer PCBs (up to 16 layers, HDI) and FPGA-based designs involving JESD204B, SerDes, LVDS, and DSP pipelines, with strict attention to signal and power integrity.
- • You will ensure all designs comply with IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2, ISO 14971, and ISO 13485, maintaining full traceability and documentation within CoMind’s Quality Management System (QMS).
- • You will oversee the transition from prototype to production, managing supplier and manufacturing partner relationships, and supporting regulatory activities to enable smooth scale-up.
- • You will establish and maintain engineering best practices, SOPs, and toolchains (including Altium Designer, Vivado, Bitbucket, and design libraries) to ensure scalable, repeatable, and high-quality development.
- • You will manage lab infrastructure, equipment, and external contractors such as PCB layout specialists, optimizing resource utilization and workflow efficiency.
- • You will champion the integration of AI into daily engineering workflows, leveraging it as a core cultural tool to enhance innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving across teams.
- • You will collaborate closely with optics, software, mechanical, and clinical teams to ensure seamless system-level integration and alignment with product goals.
- • You will contribute to a hybrid work model based at CoMind’s new Kings Cross office in London, with a minimum of four in-office days per week and one flexible remote day.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of progressive electronics engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a team lead or engineering management role
- • Hands-on FPGA development using Xilinx/AMD Vivado with RTL coding in VHDL or Verilog/SystemVerilog
- • Proven experience designing medical-grade or regulated-industry electronics through full product lifecycle, with working knowledge of IEC 60601-1, ISO 14971, and ISO 13485
