📋 Description

  • Perform initial board bring-up on new hardware revisions in collaboration with hardware engineers to debug and validate system functionality.
  • Build and maintain custom Linux distributions to support testing, manufacturing, and production operations for embedded automotive devices.
  • Write, port, and debug complex Linux device drivers for vehicle-critical peripherals including GMSL/FPD-Link cameras, automotive Ethernet, I2C, SPI, PCIe, GPIO, and UART.
  • Provide technical support and debug cross-disciplinary software and hardware issues affecting sensor and system performance.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain low-latency, robust low-level userspace software for autonomous vehicle sensors and actuators such as Camera, LiDAR, Radar, IMU, GNSS, and Microphones using C++ and Python.
  • Work closely with hardware and sensor teams to ensure seamless integration of software with embedded hardware platforms.
  • Debug and resolve system-level issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other hardware diagnostic tools.
  • Implement and maintain Linux kernel components including preempt_rt, device drivers, and system services on ARM-based embedded platforms.
  • Support Linux networking configurations and troubleshoot network-related communication issues across embedded systems.
  • Contribute to the development of real-time, safety-critical systems operating in asynchronous, low-latency environments.

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded software development.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ for real-time embedded systems, including asynchronous, low-latency, safety-critical processes.
  • Strong skills in Python and Bash for automation, testing, and supporting tasks.
  • Proven hands-on experience with embedded Linux kernel development, including device drivers and system services on ARM-based platforms.
  • Demonstrable experience with board bring-up on custom hardware.
  • Understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals to review schematics and perform hardware debugging with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Experience with automotive hardware interfaces including CAN, SPI, I2C, PCIe, and Ethernet.
  • Experience with Linux networking and debugging network-related issues.
