You will become an integral part of a dynamic team comprised of seasoned Embedded Systems Engineers, providing crucial support for a diverse and sophisticated range of scientific measurement instruments.
  • • Leveraging your foundational academic knowledge, you will cultivate practical, in-demand skills in Embedded Systems Software Engineering. Through dedicated mentorship, guided learning, and proactive self-directed study, you will tackle complex technical challenges and contribute directly to the development of next-generation products.
  • • You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of accomplished engineers and scientists, working synergistically to refine existing instrument offerings and conceptualize and build entirely new product solutions.
  • • Key responsibilities within this role encompass the full software development lifecycle for embedded systems. This includes the meticulous design, development, rigorous testing, and precise debugging of software programs, products, and essential tools that govern the operation and control of our programmable products and systems.
  • • You will be instrumental in developing firmware and embedded software applications, as well as the libraries and tools that power Agilent's advanced instrumentation.
  • • A significant aspect of the role may involve the development of sophisticated algorithms, crucial for the precise alignment and calibration of our scientific equipment, ensuring unparalleled accuracy and reliability.
  • • You will be tasked with designing and executing comprehensive test plans to meticulously verify that new firmware meets stringent specifications, functional requirements, and performance benchmarks before product release.
  • • Close collaboration with a cross-functional team, including fellow software engineers, firmware specialists, mechanical and electrical engineers, and scientists, is paramount to the successful creation of integrated instrument systems.

  • • A strong emphasis will be placed on incorporating robust cybersecurity practices throughout all stages of the development process, safeguarding our products and user data.
  • • The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently, taking ownership of tasks, and collaboratively within a team environment, adeptly balancing long-term development initiatives with the demands of time-sensitive assignments.
  • • This position offers a full-time, weekly schedule, providing a consistent and engaging work environment. While the primary location is Singapore, the role also supports remote work arrangements, offering flexibility.
  • • The role is classified under R&D (Research & Development), underscoring its focus on innovation and future product advancement. Travel is anticipated to be approximately 25% of the time, facilitating collaboration and project needs.
