  • • Design, develop, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems for embedded software developed for in-house electronic hardware, streamlining build, test, deployment, and usage processes.
  • • Create tools for testing, diagnostics, and management of embedded systems used in autonomous vehicles and robots.
  • • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration between firmware, software, and physical components.
  • • Monitor infrastructure performance and implement improvements to enhance stability, efficiency, and reliability of embedded development workflows.
  • • Provide direct support to development teams by resolving issues related to firmware CI/CD pipelines, build failures, and development flow bottlenecks.
  • • Participate in designing the software-hardware architecture to define how embedded systems interact with physical components and external interfaces.
  • • Develop and maintain tooling written in Python, including asynchronous applications and hardware interaction using pyserial, python-can, and smbus2.
  • • Utilize Bazel and Nix for reproducible builds and package management across embedded development environments.
  • • Write and maintain Bash scripts for low-level system configuration, hardware initialization, and automation tasks.
  • • Interpret complex technical documentation and electrical schematics to inform software architecture decisions and hardware-software integration strategies.
  • • Debug and analyze C++ firmware code to identify root causes of system failures and optimize performance.
  • • Apply deep understanding of standard communication interfaces including CAN, UART, Ethernet, and I2C to develop and validate embedded system communications.
  • • Maintain a highly responsible, organized, and methodical approach to problem-solving, ensuring robust and reliable tooling for critical embedded systems.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Practical experience designing and maintaining CI/CD workflows in GitHub Actions
  • • High proficiency in Python with deep experience using Asyncio, pyserial, python-can, and smbus2 for hardware interaction
  • • Hands-on experience with Bazel and Nix for reproducible builds and package management
  • • Ability to read, interpret, and debug C++ firmware code
  • • Proficiency in Bash for low-level system configuration and hardware initialization scripts
  • • Deep understanding of CAN, UART, Ethernet, and I2C communication protocols
  • • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation to guide software architecture
