- • Lead and direct third-party design consultants to deliver mission-critical data centre projects that strictly adhere to Iron Mountain global standards and project specifications.
- • Collaborate with internal construction, finance, sales, and operations teams to validate and execute fit-out programs, ensuring design decisions align with business pursuit opportunities.
- • Provide comprehensive engineering oversight and reporting on budget, schedule, and product delivery to ensure all assigned critical infrastructure projects meet organisational quality and safety regulations.
- • Oversee the end-to-end design delivery of data centre construction projects, including new builds, phased expansions, and operational upgrades across key European markets like London, Amsterdam, Madrid, and Frankfurt.
- • Lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with external consultants to ensure facilities meet world-class standards while identifying critical risks and opportunities.
- • Contribute to Iron Mountain’s mission of delivering sustainable solutions in data centers and digital transformation services for 225,000 global customers.
- • Work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary Design and Construction team dedicated to delivering high-performance infrastructure.
- • Drive design excellence that supports Iron Mountain’s commitment to innovation, safety, and socially responsible infrastructure.
🎯 Requirements
- • Extensive experience in the design of mission-critical facilities, specifically within Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) led industries such as Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, or Energy.
- • In-depth knowledge of complex electrical, mechanical, life safety, and control systems, including a strong command of national and local building codes.
- • Proven ability in managing relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders while leading multidisciplinary design teams in a professional, fast-paced environment.
- • A University Degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services Engineering.
- • Flexibility to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.
