Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the EMR experience for an entire region. As Pennant’s EMR Market Specialist you will be the single point of accountability for how 180+ home health, hospice, senior living, and home care teams use Pinnacle to deliver safer, faster, and more compassionate care.
- • Architect and deliver hyper-relevant training. You will design Pinnacle-specific curricula that speak to the real-world workflows of nurses, therapists, aides, billers, and executives. Whether it’s a 30-minute virtual huddle or a 3-day base-camp immersion, you will make every session engaging, measurable, and immediately applicable.
- • Turn new leaders into EMR super-users. From Executive Directors to Clinical Directors, you will guide newly promoted managers through their first 90 days of system ownership, ensuring they can run reports, close charts, and coach their teams without escalating every question.
- • Be the calm during go-lives. When Pennant acquires a new agency or opens a de novo location, you will arrive on-site 48 hours before go-live, configure templates, load master files, train staff, and remain until census is stable and documentation quality meets Pennant standards.
- • Champion continuous optimization. You will mine EMR data to uncover regional trends—late physician signatures, incomplete Oasis, missed wound assessments—and then partner with Clinical Market Leaders to roll out targeted fixes, new SOPs, and measurable KPIs.
- • Bridge clinical and financial worlds. You will lead Pharmacy Connect integrations, eMAR backup protocols, and third-party marketplace implementations so that every clinical action flows cleanly into billing, payroll, and compliance reporting.
- • Build bulletproof documentation. You will author and maintain the living library of EMR SOPs, tip sheets, and quick-reference guides that allow staff to self-serve answers and reduce help-desk tickets by 25% year-over-year.
- • Serve as the regional data concierge. When SOX auditors, QAPI committees, or payor partners request custom data pulls, you will extract, validate, and present the information in a format that drives decisions and satisfies regulatory scrutiny.
- • Evaluate and elevate new residents. You will design evaluation tools that track resident outcomes pre- and post-EMR optimization, proving ROI and guiding future system enhancements.
- • Travel up to 30% across your assigned states, living Pennant’s “lead like an owner” ethos. You will celebrate wins, surface risks early, and leave every facility more confident and capable than you found it.
- • Model CAPLICO daily. Customer Second means you will answer a midnight call from a hospice nurse who can’t reconcile meds. Accountability means you will own the outcome, not just the task. Passion for Learning means you will beta-test every new Pinnacle release and teach what you discover. Love One Another means you will mentor junior analysts. Intelligent Risk Taking means you will pilot AI scribing if it could save clinicians 30 minutes per visit. Celebrate Ownership means you will share regional success stories in Pennant’s monthly Town Hall.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- • 3+ years of hands-on EMR experience in a healthcare setting with deep knowledge of clinical workflows
- • Demonstrated success designing and delivering training curricula to clinical and business audiences
- • Proven ability to manage complex projects (rollouts, integrations, go-lives) from kickoff to post-mortem
- • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% within assigned regional markets
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote flexibility with a best-in-class home-office stipend
- • Full benefits package—medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match
- • Generous PTO, paid holidays, and annual professional-development budget
- • Culture rooted in CAPLICO: empowerment, accountability, and shared ownership
