📋 Description

• As Engineering Director, Automation at Vanta, you will lead and grow a dynamic engineering organization focused on evolving and scaling the Integrations Platform and Forward Deployed Engineering areas, which power the core product offerings and enable continuous security monitoring for thousands of companies.
• You will partner closely with Design, Product, Engineering, and Go To Market teams to build out the integrations developer platform and engineering services team, while leading multiple teams to deliver results consistently and sustainably with a high bar for execution and quality.
• Vanta’s Automation org is the engine that powers the entire platform, building the integration fabric that connects a company's entire tech stack to continuously monitor and prove their security posture, with 450+ integrations and 1,400+ automated tests running hourly, layered with real-time AI.
• You will have the opportunity to shape Vanta’s engineering culture and strategy, coach and mentor high-performing teams, and drive strategic initiatives that align engineering capabilities with business outcomes, all while protecting customer and company data in how your team operates and delivers results.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering leadership experience, with deep experience working on complex products and/or their respective platforms in a high growth environment
• Experience leading & scaling engineering organizations of 40+ in size with multiple teams, and a proven track record of growing high-performing teams beyond this initial size
• Proven success driving execution through your managers and keeping a pulse on the needs of everyone in your organization
• Passion for leading, coaching and building an inspired team through setting vision, unlocking potential, and driving compassionate accountability
• Business acumen paired with an understanding of applying the unique leverage of platform principles to enable step change product innovation & results
• Experience building a developer platform or partner ecosystem a plus
• Experience working with forward deployed or customer facing engineering teams a plus
• Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen your work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact
