- • As Engineering Director, Automation at Vanta, you will lead and grow a dynamic engineering organization focused on evolving and scaling the Integrations Platform and Forward Deployed Engineering areas, which power the core product offerings and enable customers to continuously monitor and prove their security posture.
- • You will partner closely with Design, Product, Engineering, and Go To Market counterparts to build out the integrations developer platform and engineering services team, lead multiple teams to deliver results consistently and sustainably, and guide technical strategy to ensure long-term value aligned with Vanta’s business priorities.
- • Vanta’s Automation org is the engine that powers the entire platform, building the integration fabric that connects a company's entire tech stack to continuously monitor and prove their security posture, with 450+ integrations and 1,400+ automated tests running hourly, backed by real-time AI.
- • You will build a high-impact engineering team by coaching, mentoring, and creating an environment where teams and managers can do their best work, while playing an integral role in influencing and shaping Vanta’s engineering culture and strategy, and protecting Vanta and customer data in how your team operates and delivers results.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of engineering leadership experience, with deep experience working on complex products and/or their respective platforms in a high growth environment
- • Experience leading & scaling engineering organizations of 40+ in size with multiple teams, and a proven track record of growing high-performing teams beyond this initial size
- • Proven success driving execution through your managers and keeping a pulse on the needs of everyone in your organization
- • Passion for leading, coaching and building an inspired team through setting vision, unlocking potential, and driving compassionate accountability
- • Business acumen paired with an understanding of applying the unique leverage of platform principles to enable step change product innovation & results
- • Experience building a developer platform or partner ecosystem a plus
- • Experience working with forward deployed or customer facing engineering teams a plus
- • Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen your work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact
