  • • As an Engineering Manager at Latamcent, you will lead the Brazil-based engineering team in Caxias do Sul, driving delivery outcomes for customer implementations and integrations while serving as the critical bridge between engineering, customer success (Go-To-Market), and U.S. leadership. This role is pivotal in transforming team dynamics and fostering a high-performance culture in a post-Series A startup environment where speed, clarity, and cross-functional alignment are paramount.
  • • You will own engineering delivery outcomes by ensuring timely and high-quality execution of customer-facing integrations and API-driven features, directly impacting the company’s ability to deliver synthetic data demo environments that enable effective B2B sales and onboarding. Your focus will be on removing blockers, clarifying ambiguous requirements, and aligning engineering efforts with go-to-market timelines to meet aggressive growth targets.
  • • Day to day, you will partner closely with the Brazil-based engineering team to understand technical challenges, coach and support team leads — especially an emerging high-potential manager — and foster psychological safety and ownership. You will facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to improve responsiveness and communication across distributed teams, while proactively identifying and resolving friction related to scope, timelines, and expectations between engineering and customer-facing stakeholders.
  • • You will act as the primary liaison between engineering and U.S.-based customer success and leadership teams, translating business needs into actionable engineering priorities and ensuring feedback loops are tight and effective. This includes preparing status reports, managing escalations, and advocating for engineering capacity and constraints in leadership discussions to prevent overcommitment and burnout.
  • • A core part of your role will be building trust with engineers by deeply engaging with their technical work — understanding backend systems, API integrations, and serverless architectures — not to code, but to credibly coach, remove impediments, and advocate for technical excellence and sustainable pace. You will mentor team leads in people management, delegation, and conflict resolution, helping them grow into effective leaders.
  • • You will drive cultural transformation by instilling ownership, accountability, and proactive communication across the distributed team, replacing reactive firefighting with predictable delivery rhythms. Your leadership will help the team navigate ambiguity, prioritize impact over perfection, and adapt quickly to evolving customer and market demands in a fast-scaling startup.

  • • In this role, you will learn to lead complex, distributed engineering organizations in high-growth startups, mastering the art of balancing technical depth with people leadership and business acumen. You will achieve measurable impact by improving team velocity, predictability, and morale, while contributing directly to the company’s ability to scale its platform and win in competitive markets — positioning you for senior leadership roles such as Director of Engineering or VP of Engineering in future high-impact environments.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3+ years in engineering leadership roles
  • • Strong background in backend systems, ideally Python-based environments
  • • Experience leading teams working on integrations, APIs, or complex external systems
  • • Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, sales, customer success)
  • • Experience working in fast-paced startups (Seed to Series A/B or similar environments)
  • • Strong people leadership skills with a focus on coaching, trust-building, and conflict resolution
  • • Ability to operate in high-pressure environments with constant deadlines and ambiguity
  • • Experience working with distributed or international teams
  • • Strong business mindset with the ability to prioritize impact over perfection
  • • English proficiency: C1 or C2 (must be able to communicate clearly with U.S. stakeholders)
