Engineering Manager

📋 Description

• • As the Engineering Manager of Paddle's Retain team, you will lead the churn prevention product that helps customers recover failed payments through smart dunning retries and automated recovery emails, while reducing voluntary churn via optimized cancellation flows and term management, directly impacting revenue recovery for thousands of software sellers globally.
• • You will manage and coach a team of 4-6 engineers, partner with the Product Manager to define and execute a sustainable roadmap, drive process improvements, oversee technical strategy and decisions, and contribute to engineering principles across the department to build a high-performing, reliable, and scalable event-driven system.
• • Paddle is a Merchant of Record for digital product companies, simplifying payment infrastructure by handling payments, taxes, and payouts across 245 territories, backed by KKR, FTV Capital, and other investors, serving over 5,000 software sellers with a mission to eliminate payment fragmentation.
• • You will develop leadership and technical strategy skills in a cross-functional, high-impact environment, shaping the direction of a critical revenue protection product while growing as a people leader and contributing to an industry-leading engineering culture grounded in collaboration, transparency, and continuous learning.
