• • As an Engineering Manager at Tide, you will be at the forefront of shaping and scaling critical platform capabilities that drive our global business. You will lead the engineering delivery of our vital subscriptions platform, a core component that underpins our services across multiple international markets. • • Your primary responsibility will be to own the technical direction and execution of systems responsible for subscription creation, dynamic pricing strategies, and comprehensive lifecycle management. You will be instrumental in building and enhancing scalable, resilient, and extensible platform capabilities that not only support our current growth trajectory but also anticipate and adapt to evolving business needs and market demands.
• • You will be entrusted with the management and professional development of a talented team of engineers. This involves setting clear, high-level technical standards, fostering a culture that champions ownership, accountability, and a relentless pursuit of continuous improvement. Through close collaboration with Product Management and key stakeholders across various business functions, you will translate strategic product visions into reliable, high-performance platform solutions, ensuring the delivery of exceptional quality across the entire subscription lifecycle.
• • This role places you within the dynamic Member Engagement Marketing (MEM) engineering group. You will work in close partnership with critical teams including Billing, Payments, Marketing, Data, and Finance. Together, you will architect and deliver a robust, transparent, and highly performant subscriptions platform that is essential for enabling seamless member experiences and maximizing long-term member value.
• • You will champion best practices in software development, ensuring that the platform is not only functional but also secure, thoroughly tested, and meticulously documented. A key aspect of this role is embracing full ownership of your team's code and technical solutions throughout their entire lifecycle, from initial development and rigorous testing through to seamless deployment and ongoing maintenance in production.
• • You will leverage your experience in integrating with diverse third-party providers and partners to ensure our platform is well-connected and capable of supporting a wide range of business operations and member services.
• • A deep understanding of relational databases and experience in engineering scalable and reliable solutions within a cloud-native environment, particularly AWS, will be crucial for success.
• • You will operate within an agile development framework, utilizing its practices to consistently deliver value, adapt swiftly to changing requirements, and maintain a high velocity of development.
• • Your ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences will be vital for effective cross-functional communication and stakeholder alignment.
