📋 Description

  • Stellar Health is at the forefront of transforming the US healthcare system, moving away from a fee-for-service model towards one that prioritizes quality patient outcomes. We empower primary care providers by integrating technology, dedicated people, and insightful analytics to deliver superior patient care. Our innovative platform, accessible through the Stellar App, provides a user-friendly, web-based tool that guides practices with a clear checklist of recommended actions to ensure optimal patient health. Providers and their care teams are rewarded monthly for completing these quality-driven actions, simultaneously leading to reduced healthcare costs for Payors.
  • As a US-based Health-tech company, Stellar Health is backed by prominent VCs including General Atlantic, Point72, and Primary Venture Partners. We have a well-established product and a proven operational model that demonstrably improves the lives of physician practices and their patients. We are seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager to join our growing team, a role that requires a blend of hands-on technical contribution and effective people management.
  • In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with engineering leadership to shape the technical trajectory of the Beta Workflows team, guiding us through our next significant growth phase. You will engage cross-functionally to spearhead the launch of new products and features, focusing on building robust data architectures that drive critical insights across Stellar Health. Our team fosters an experienced and mature engineering culture, providing an environment where each engineer's contribution has a direct and tangible impact on our business success.
  • Your core mission will be to equip Stellar Health with cutting-edge, reliable, and intuitive infrastructure for ingesting, storing, processing, and extracting valuable insights from data. This will enable downstream users to achieve their goals and enhance our ability to improve patient access to healthcare. The Beta Workflows team is a close-knit unit characterized by high ownership, ensuring your work will have a meaningful influence on our mission.
  • The Beta Workflows team is specifically focused on accelerating and optimizing Stellar Health adoption within large Medical Groups. These organizations present unique challenges, including the deployment of Stellar across multiple office locations and the implementation of enterprise-level solutions that cater to both frontline staff and organizational leadership. Your work will directly address these complexities.
  • Within this team, you will be instrumental in building and managing novel EHR-integrated workflows. You will enhance the Stellar Application to be more role-specific, developing features tailored to the distinct needs of users within larger Medical Groups. Key responsibilities and technical challenges include:
  • Directly contributing to the company's financial success by enhancing the workflows of our largest Medical Groups.
  • Owning the end-to-end build and delivery of software solutions impacting over 600,000 patients.
  • Developing, discovering, and iterating on workflows that involve writing data back into Electronic Health Records (EHRs).
  • Improving our capacity to manage extensive patient panels across multiple office locations.
  • Building a sophisticated Role-Based Access system to personalize the application experience for specific user roles.
  • As an Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will encompass:
  • Guiding the technical direction and overall impact of the Beta Workflows team, ensuring its capabilities, quality, and capacity meet strategic objectives.
  • Leading and nurturing the team, actively participating in recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Writing production-quality code and providing constructive feedback through code and design reviews.
  • Establishing and enforcing consistent standards for code quality, testing, and bug resolution.
  • Contributing to Stellar’s vibrant Engineering Culture by participating in cross-organizational technical and leadership forums.
  • Collaborating with senior engineering and product leaders to align on product roadmaps, specifications, and priorities.
  • We are looking for leaders who embody our values and are eager to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. You will be a key player in our journey to revolutionize healthcare.
