- • As an Engineering Manager at ClickUp, you will lead a fullstack engineering team responsible for building and scaling the core APIs and user experiences that power ClickUp’s converged AI workspace, directly impacting how millions of teams collaborate and reclaim productivity in a fragmented work landscape.
- • You will drive technical excellence and innovation by guiding engineers across the full stack—from frontend interfaces using modern frameworks to backend systems powered by Node.js and AWS—ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability of the Tasks platform and related features.
- • Your leadership will shape team culture through mentorship, continuous learning, and collaboration with product, design, and cross-functional engineering teams to align on goals, prioritize work, and deliver exceptional user experiences that advance ClickUp’s mission.
- • You will oversee code quality by advocating for clean, maintainable, and testable code, enforcing standards through rigorous code reviews, and proactively addressing technical debt to improve system stability and long-term velocity.
- • By staying current with advancements in cloud infrastructure, collaborative editing technologies, and web development, you will identify and implement improvements that keep ClickUp at the forefront of AI-powered work platforms.
- • Through data-driven decision-making and strong communication, you will translate complex technical concepts for stakeholders, make informed trade-offs, and foster an environment where engineers feel empowered to grow, innovate, and take ownership of impactful solutions.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- • 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or engineering management role
- • Proficiency in modern programming languages (Node.js preferred), relational databases, and at least one modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Vue, or Svelte)
- • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure, including deployment, monitoring, and optimization
- • Proven ability to manage, mentor, and scale engineering teams while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- • Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of tackling complex technical challenges and making data-driven decisions
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
