Engineering Manager

📋 Description

• • Own the full lifecycle of an engineering organization at Kcura—recruit, onboard, coach, and retain a diverse team of high-caliber engineers while cultivating an inclusive, psychologically safe culture where innovation thrives.
• • Drive predictable delivery of reliable, scalable, and secure SaaS solutions that power legal-tech workflows for thousands of global customers; ensure every release meets stringent SLAs/SLOs and regulatory requirements.
• • Champion modern agile and DevOps practices: lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives; institutionalize CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/ARM), and Policy as Code (OPA, Azure Policy) to shrink lead time and reduce defect escape rate.
• • Partner with Product Management, Security, and Customer Success to translate business objectives into technical roadmaps; negotiate scope, sequence, and trade-offs while transparently communicating progress, risks, and mitigation plans to executive stakeholders.
• • Establish and track KPIs—deployment frequency, change failure rate, MTTR, cost per transaction—then use data to continuously optimize processes, tooling, and team structure for maximum velocity and cost efficiency.
• • Orchestrate incident response and blameless post-mortems; convert every outage into systemic improvements that strengthen reliability patterns, observability, and automation coverage.
• • Mentor engineers through personalized growth plans, quarterly OKRs, and 360-degree feedback; create technical guilds and communities of practice to accelerate skill development across cloud, performance, and security domains.
• • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to define and enforce technical standards, reference architectures, and security baselines; ensure every design review balances innovation, maintainability, and compliance.
• • Oversee budget planning and cloud cost governance; apply FinOps principles to right-size resources, negotiate vendor contracts, and deliver measurable ROI on infrastructure spend.
• • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by sponsoring hackathons, internal tech talks, and open-source contributions; celebrate wins and share lessons learned across the broader Relativity engineering community.
• • Represent Kcura at industry conferences, meetups, and recruiting events; act as a visible thought leader who attracts top talent and elevates the company’s engineering brand.
• • Ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion are woven into hiring practices, performance evaluations, and daily interactions; hold yourself and the team accountable to the highest standards of integrity and customer focus.
