- • As an Engineering Manager at Monks, you will be the key leader responsible for driving technical execution and quality standards necessary for successful, on-time delivery of projects, partnering closely with Product Management to align the technical roadmap with business priorities.
- • You will oversee project execution, set technical direction, and uphold rigorous quality and operational standards while serving as the primary technical point of contact for client and internal stakeholders to communicate progress, manage expectations, and mitigate technical risks.
- • You will be responsible for attracting, nurturing, coaching, and retaining world-class engineering talent by developing career progression plans, providing regular feedback, and ensuring continuous learning and development through valuable training opportunities.
- • You will help shape and execute the vision for the engineering organization, define engineering standards, and contribute to building the strategic vision for Monks in a dynamic environment while guiding the team on design, implementation, and architectural best practices.
🎯 Requirements
- • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- • 8+ years of professional engineering experience
- • 3+ years of management experience
- • Experience with Web and Native (iOS) applications
- • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentorship abilities
- • Excellent organizational and communication skills with demonstrated ability to manage client and stakeholder relationships
- • Good knowledge of design and architectural patterns and development best practices
- • Proven success driving complex, cross-functional engineering projects from concept to production
- • Strong technical judgment and ability to challenge, guide, and mentor engineers on design and implementation
- • Experience in defining and implementing quality standards in engineering practices
- • Previous experience collaborating on highly distributed teams across multiple countries and time zones
