- • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers within a core product pod, setting clear technical direction and fostering a culture of high ownership and continuous growth.
- • Provide hands-on technical leadership by actively participating in architectural discussions, code reviews, and complex problem-solving alongside senior engineers.
- • Build and sustain a high-performing engineering team through consistent feedback, coaching, and career development support.
- • Collaborate closely with Product to challenge requirements, clarify priorities, and ensure alignment between business goals and technical execution.
- • Partner with Support and Operations teams to translate customer issues and operational feedback into actionable engineering improvements.
- • Drive end-to-end delivery of engineering initiatives by planning, prioritizing, and tracking work to maintain consistent development velocity.
- • Remove blockers and optimize workflows to enable smooth, predictable, and scalable engineering output.
- • Uphold rigorous engineering standards by ensuring systems are reliable, well-tested, and operationally sound.
- • Own and monitor pod-level metrics such as system latency, transaction success rates, and operational efficiency, using data to guide iterative improvements.
- • Communicate progress, risks, and key decisions transparently to stakeholders and leadership across product, design, and operations.
- • Contribute to shaping the engineering culture of a fast-scaling fintech startup with autonomy and accountability.
- • Balance leadership responsibilities with direct technical contribution, maintaining proximity to code and system architecture.
- • Work in a language-agnostic environment where strong engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills are prioritized over specific tech stack expertise.
- • Deliver systems that power millions of cross-border financial experiences, directly impacting customer trust and business growth.
