• • As an Engineering Manager at Substack, you will lead a team responsible for developing iOS, Android, and web applications that empower creators and audiences through direct subscription-based publishing, enabling independent expression and community building.
• • You will drive strategic product vision, scale systems to support rapid growth, and collaborate across design, product, support, and leadership to deliver high-quality features from concept to deployment.
• • Substack is building a new economic engine for culture by giving writers and creators ownership, economic autonomy, and direct audience connection, free from legacy media gatekeeping and ad-driven social media chaos.
• • In this role, you will grow as a technical leader by mentoring engineers, shaping team culture, contributing to hiring, and gaining end-to-end ownership of product impact in a mission-driven, high-autonomy environment.
