  • • As an Engineering Manager at Tide, you will be a pivotal leader responsible for the engineering delivery of our critical subscriptions platform across multiple international markets. This role demands a seasoned professional with a strong blend of technical acumen and people leadership skills, adept at operating at scale and driving significant impact through the design and implementation of robust platforms.
  • • You will own the technical direction and execution of systems that underpin subscription creation, pricing strategies, and lifecycle management. Your primary focus will be on architecting and building scalable, resilient, and extensible platform capabilities that not only support current business operations but also anticipate and accommodate future growth and evolving market demands.
  • • A core aspect of your role will involve managing and nurturing a team of talented engineers. This includes setting clear, high-level technical standards, fostering a culture of deep ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate closely with Product Management and various stakeholders across the business to translate product strategy into reliable, high-performance platform solutions, ensuring the delivery of exceptional quality across the entire subscription lifecycle.
  • • You will be an integral part of the Member Engagement Marketing (MEM) engineering group, working in close partnership with teams such as Billing, Payments, Marketing, Data, and Finance. Together, you will collectively deliver and maintain a robust, transparent, and efficient subscriptions platform that is essential for enabling seamless member experiences and driving long-term business value.
  • • Your responsibilities will extend to ensuring the platform's technical health, performance, and security, while also championing best practices in software development, including CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
  • • You will play a key role in strategic technical decision-making, evaluating new technologies, and guiding the team through complex technical challenges.
  • • Mentoring and developing individual engineers, fostering their career growth, and building a high-performing, collaborative team environment will be paramount.
  • • You will be expected to stay hands-on, maintaining a deep understanding of the technical details and challenges your team is addressing on a day-to-day basis, ensuring you can provide effective guidance and support.
  • • Driving innovation within the subscriptions domain, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions that enhance member value and operational efficiency.
  • • Ensuring adherence to security best practices and compliance requirements within the platform.
