- • As an Engineering Manager for Account Management at Dave, you will lead a team responsible for building and maintaining the core financial experiences that millions of members rely on daily to manage their money, directly impacting trust, engagement, and financial empowerment for underserved Americans.
- • You will shape both the technical systems and team culture, ensuring scalable, reliable infrastructure while fostering an inclusive, accountable environment where engineers grow and thrive.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading and developing a team of engineers through mentorship, performance feedback, and career growth planning; partnering with Product and cross-functional stakeholders to define roadmap and long-term direction for account management features; driving delivery of scalable, highly available systems that support millions of member interactions; contributing to architectural decisions alongside senior engineers to balance speed with long-term system health; improving engineering practices such as code quality, testing, and technical debt management; and establishing clear context by connecting team work to member impact and company goals.
- • The Account Management team owns the foundational experiences members use to understand and control their financial lives — making your role critical in shaping how Dave delivers on its mission to level the financial playing field through technology.
- • You will work at the intersection of product, infrastructure, and member trust, where your leadership directly influences product reliability, system resilience, and the overall member experience — ensuring that Dave’s services remain accessible, transparent, and dependable for those who need them most.
- • In this role, you will grow as a technical leader by shaping both engineering practices and product direction, gaining exposure to fintech innovation, scalable system design, and cross-functional collaboration in a mission-driven, virtual-first environment.

🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of software development experience
- • 1.5+ years of engineering management experience
- • Experience building and operating scalable, highly available systems
- • Strong technical judgment with ability to engage in architecture and code-level discussions
- • Experience hiring and developing high-performing, diverse teams
- • Ability to navigate both technical and business conversations with clarity
