- • Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team focused on building AI agents that automate the full sales action set, from account strategy to prospect research, outbound emails, LinkedIn DMs, gifting, call prep, and follow-ups.
- • Serve as a player-coach: spend significant time writing code, conducting customer calls, and hiring — with weekly shifts between 80% engineering, 80% customer engagement, or 80% recruitment.
- • Own the deployment outcome and GM-level responsibility for customer revenue metrics, aiming to 5x meetings booked within a 1-month trial period.
- • Build and iterate on autonomous AI agents that learn over time, calibrate trust with users, and are evaluated through clear, measurable performance benchmarks.
- • Embed directly into customer workflows by participating in Slack channels with users and rapidly shipping agent improvements based on real-time feedback.
- • Design and ship AI agents that handle nuanced, non-creative sales tasks currently performed by SDR teams, ensuring seamless integration into existing sales processes.
- • Make key technical and product decisions that drive velocity and alignment across engineering, product, and customer success teams.
- • Define which insights from customer field data belong in the core platform versus as customizable, customer-facing modifiers.
- • Foster an inclusive, innovative engineering culture while overseeing hiring and team growth to scale from a small pilot group to broader deployment.
- • Collaborate with design partners to refine agent behavior through direct customer interaction, iterating based on real-world usage patterns and feedback.
- • Translate complex agent capabilities and deployment status into clear communication for sales teams, engineering peers, and company leadership.
- • Drive the vision for Agent Studio as the foundational workspace for AI-driven sales automation, aligning technical execution with the mission to 10x every seller.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of engineering experience, ideally including time as a technical founder, founding engineer, or forward-deployed engineer at a high-bar organization.
- • Production experience with AI agents, such as shipping a prompt or tool change in response to a specific user complaint within the same week.
- • Based in San Francisco and excited to be in-office 3+ days per week.
- • Strong agency and comfort owning outcomes without a clear playbook.
- • Excellent communication skills to articulate agent functionality to sales teams, engineering needs to technical teams, and deployment status to leadership.
- • Strong opinions, held loosely, about integrating field insights into platform design versus customer-facing customization.
