• • Engineering Manager for the AI Team at hyperexponential Ltd, leading the technical delivery of cutting-edge AI agents that power real customer workflows in insurance underwriting and pricing, where impact is defined by solving novel, high-stakes problems in a £7 trillion industry.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include owning end-to-end technical delivery for an Agent team (Actuarial, Ingestion, or Underwriting Agent), designing and institutionalizing an explore/exploit operating model, partnering with Product, Design, and Research Engineering to co-design solutions, building and maintaining a DevEx roadmap to improve engineering velocity, coaching and mentoring AI Engineers, and fostering a culture of high trust and accountability driven by data and evaluation.
• • The team operates as an elite, highly aligned squad with tight collaboration between Engineering, Product, Design, and Research Engineering, embracing uncertainty as a design constraint and using formal explore/exploit practices to rapidly experiment, validate, and scale impactful AI capabilities that move the needle for global insurers.
