• • As the Engineering Manager for Application Development, you will be instrumental in guiding the strategic direction and day-to-day execution of two distinct, cross-functional development teams. Your leadership will directly impact the evolution of two of our flagship products: PrivacyPro and ShortageCheck. You will foster an environment of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, ensuring that our teams are empowered to deliver exceptional software.
• • Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the development lifecycle for PrivacyPro, our 6x Best-in-KLAS patient privacy monitoring solution. This product is critical for compliance teams, providing unparalleled insights and workflows to safeguard patient records. PrivacyPro achieves industry-leading precision by auditing up to 100% of system accesses, enabling the detection of risks and the uncovering of hidden privacy violations before they escalate. The technical foundation of PrivacyPro is built upon a robust Java Spring Boot backend, a modern React frontend, and a flexible MongoDB datastore. Your guidance will be crucial in maintaining and enhancing this sophisticated technology stack.
• • Simultaneously, you will lead the development efforts for ShortageCheck, our innovative medication shortage monitoring and inventory optimization solution. This product empowers hospitals to proactively identify potential medication shortages and make data-driven decisions regarding their inventory management strategies. ShortageCheck leverages a cutting-edge Python FastAPI backend, a responsive React frontend, and a reliable relational datastore. You will be responsible for driving the roadmap and execution for this vital tool, ensuring its continued success and impact in the healthcare landscape.
• • This role demands a high degree of collaboration with our Product Management and Design teams. You will work closely with these stakeholders to translate product vision into tangible, high-quality, and scalable software solutions. A key aspect of this position is the ability to effectively context-switch between the needs and priorities of both the PrivacyPro and ShortageCheck teams. You will need to excel at managing competing demands, delegating tasks effectively, and maintaining crystal-clear communication channels to ensure that both teams remain highly productive, aligned with strategic goals, and motivated.
• • While this role is primarily hands-off from a direct coding perspective, your strong technical background will be indispensable. You will serve as a technical mentor and guide, enabling your teams to make sound architectural decisions and navigate complex engineering trade-offs. Your ability to understand technical challenges, provide strategic technical guidance, and foster best practices in software development will be paramount to the success of your teams and the products they build.
