- • The Engineering Manager for the Clustering Platform team will own and evolve the systems that power Chainalysis's core clustering capabilities — how we link blockchain addresses to real-world entities at scale.
- • Build, lead, and mentor a team of talented engineers focused on clustering infrastructure and data systems; drive the technical vision and roadmap for the Clustering Platform, balancing reliability, scalability, and speed of iteration.
- • Partner with data producers, consumers, and product stakeholders to deliver a world-class developer and data science experience; establish engineering processes, tooling, and best practices that accelerate the team and the broader organization.
- • Dive into hard problems hands-on when needed — architecture decisions, incident response, or unblocking the team; work in a global organization with teams in the UK, Denmark, Canada, the USA, and other parts of the EU who thrive on challenging work and doing it with exceptionally talented teammates.
- • Contribute to building a flexible platform that allows Chainalysis to adapt to rapid changes in the blockchain industry; help organizations navigate blockchains safely and with confidence through complete knowledge of blockchain activity.
- • Foster an inclusive environment where diversity of experience and thought is valued; support continual learning and reevaluation of diversity culture across global teams.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong hands-on software and data engineering skills — comfortable reviewing code, writing design docs, debugging production systems, and making architectural decisions alongside the team.
- • Deep experience with large-scale data processing and distributed systems (e.g., PySpark, Databricks, Airflow, or similar) — able to evaluate trade-offs, not just delegate them.
- • A track record for leading high-performing engineering teams while staying close enough to technical details to unblock, challenge, and elevate the work.
- • Ability to context-switch between people leadership and hands-on technical contribution, especially during critical moments like incident response, system design, or prototyping.
- • Collaborative, servant-leadership style grounded in technical credibility — team trusts judgment because of shared experience in the trenches.
- • Excitement about working on large-scale graph and clustering problems, and a genuine desire to own mission-critical infrastructure.
