📋 Description

• • As an Engineering Manager for the Console User Experience team at Lambda Inc., you will be at the forefront of shaping the primary interface through which tens of thousands of customers interact with the world's leading AI cloud infrastructure. This is a pivotal role where you will lead a talented team of approximately 4–6 frontend and full-stack engineers, guiding them in the development and enhancement of Lambda's customer-facing cloud console and its critical API integrations.
• • Your leadership will be instrumental in translating complex, cutting-edge AI compute capabilities into intuitive, reliable, and seamless workflows for a diverse customer base, ranging from individual AI researchers to large enterprises and hyperscalers. The Console is not just a portal; it's the gateway to provisioning GPU clusters, managing vital resources, configuring intricate networking, controlling identity and access, and monitoring usage and billing. As Lambda continues its strategic expansion into enterprise solutions and dedicated region offerings, the Console's importance and complexity will only grow, making your role exceptionally impactful.
• • This is a hands-on leadership position, demanding a blend of strategic vision and practical execution. You will be accountable for the team's overall execution, fostering a healthy and productive team environment, and steering the technical direction of the console. Crucially, you will remain deeply involved in architectural and design decisions, ensuring that the technology underpinning the console is robust, scalable, and future-proof.
• • A significant aspect of your role will involve close collaboration with a multitude of cross-functional teams. You will partner intimately with Product Management and Design to meticulously define clear project scopes, establish logical sequencing of initiatives, and navigate complex trade-offs. Furthermore, you will engage with the API Experience, Billing, Control Plane, Support, and Platform teams to ensure that all integrated components work harmoniously, delivering a cohesive and exceptional user experience.
• • You will be a key driver of architectural decisions, particularly concerning frontend systems, the integration of various APIs, and the optimization of performance. This includes ensuring that the console is not only functional but also highly performant and scalable to meet the demands of a rapidly growing user base.
• • Maintaining exceptionally high standards for quality, reliability, and maintainability will be a core responsibility. You will foster a culture where code quality is paramount, systems are dependable, and the codebase is easy to understand and modify, even as new features are rapidly developed.
