- • Lead and grow a small team building applied AI systems for internal operations at OpenAI, driving the evolution of AI-powered automation that transforms how work gets done across sales, support, finance, IT, and more.
- • Design and build AI-powered automation systems in close proximity to customers, staying hands-on in architecture and implementation across the full stack while deploying systems directly to internal users for rapid iteration based on real-world feedback.
- • Partner with a highly multidisciplinary, self-contained team focused on transforming the workplace via smart systems, knowledge, and scalable primitives that apply world-class AI capabilities across domains, operating in a hyper-fast feedback loop with internal and external stakeholders.
- • Develop evolving systems spanning developer tools, automation platforms, knowledge graphs, and data systems, creating visibility and learning in hybrid workforces while engaging frequently with scaled workforces to understand needs and validate solutions.
🎯 Requirements
- • 12+ years of experience in engineering, including 3+ years of experience in engineering management and at least 7 years as an individual contributor engineer
- • Hands-on builder with deep experience applying AI and readiness to experiment with frontier approaches across the full stack
- • Proven experience building developer tools, internal platforms, or workflow automation systems in operationally complex environments
