• • Engineering Manager, Core Product Engine (Backend) at Jerry Technologies Inc. leads the technical evolution of the company’s core insurance automation systems, which orchestrate complex, multi-step transactions with external systems to finalize insurance policy purchases—a critical 'last mile' function in Jerry.ai’s mission to simplify car ownership through its AI-powered super app.
• • Day to day, the role involves hands-on technical work (80% of time) refactoring legacy automation systems into a decoupled, scalable architecture, leading incremental code improvements, designing new standards, pairing with engineers, and transitioning toward an AI-first approach for internal tools to support scaling from 5M to 50M users.
• • The team is a small, high-talent engineering group reporting directly to the co-founder/CTO, operating with minimal bureaucracy, where ex-founder technical leads foster a culture of ownership, deep problem-solving, and rapid execution in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
• • The person will learn to navigate complex, provider-specific insurance business logic, master asynchronous state management and fault-tolerant system design at scale, and gain experience blending hands-on engineering leadership with strategic technical evolution in a high-growth, data-rich consumer tech company.
