- • As the Engineering Manager for Core UI at SimSpace, you will lead and grow a team of Design Engineers and Core Frontend Engineers, owning the foundation of the product’s user interface including the design system, shared component libraries, frontend architecture, and the partnership with UX Design.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include leading hiring, onboarding, 1:1s, performance management, and career growth; setting team direction and roadmap; fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, craft, and creativity; mentoring engineers; and leading UI-focused initiatives end to end.
- • You will own SimSpace’s core frontend repositories, design system (Monorail), component libraries, and overall frontend architecture, treating the platform as a product with measurable quality, while stewarding architectural decisions and managing technical and UX debt.
- • You will own the engineering-UX Design partnership, ensuring alignment between Figma designs and code implementation, defining predictable workflows, and supporting prototyping for user feedback.
- • You will partner with Product Management and other engineering teams to align frontend work with business objectives, improve Agile processes, and ensure seamless integration of shared UI systems.
- • You will champion accessibility (a11y) at all levels, drive UX quality and consistency, and reduce UI inconsistency and UX debt across the product.
- • The Core UI team exists to reduce UI inconsistency and UX debt, improve accessibility and usability, increase frontend velocity through shared systems, and make SimSpace’s product feel cohesive, modern, and premium—your leadership compounds impact across every product team and customer experience.

- • Experience owning or substantially contributing to design systems or shared UI libraries used by multiple teams
- • Solid understanding of accessibility (a11y) standards and how to operationalize them
- • Track record of partnering closely with designers, PMs, and engineers across teams
