- • Engineering Manager for Cloud Data Engineering Practice at Caylent, leading a team of 5-8 cloud engineers and architects to drive data delivery engagements and technical excellence using AWS.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing technical tasks in sprints, leading customer discussions, conducting code reviews, assigning tasks, providing mentorship, ensuring technical accountability, kicking off client engagements, developing proposals, and conducting technical interviews and 1:1s for career development.
- • Caylent is a cloud-native services company specializing in AWS solutions, operating fully remote with a global team across Canada, the U.S., and Latin America, prioritizing people, technological curiosity, and an inclusive culture.
- • The role offers opportunities to strengthen leadership in data engineering, deepen AWS expertise, influence technical strategy, mentor engineers, and grow professionally through hands-on leadership and client-facing impact.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong experience in AWS data landscape
- • Expertise in at least two major areas of Cloud Data Engineering (e.g., relational databases, big data processing with Spark/Hadoop/EMR, machine learning/MLOps, advanced analytics, BI dashboards, data governance/MDM)
- • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, CI/CD pipelines, and application modernization/migration with a database focus
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
