- • As an Engineering Manager for the Data Platform team at ServiceTitan, you will lead a high-impact group of 5+ data engineers responsible for building and maintaining the enterprise-grade data infrastructure that powers critical business decisions across the organization. This role sits at the intersection of technical leadership and people management, where you will shape both the architecture of scalable data systems and the growth of your team, ensuring reliability, security, and alignment with business objectives.
- • You will provide hands-on architectural guidance in key areas such as Semantic Layer design, Data Sharing, and data mesh patterns, while driving technical excellence through rigorous standards in code quality, testing, observability, and performance optimization. Your leadership will directly influence how quickly and reliably data consumers across the company can access trusted data, enabling faster insights and better outcomes.
- • You will foster a team culture rooted in ownership, craftsmanship, and psychological safety, investing in career development through regular feedback, mentorship, and clear expectations. By balancing people leadership with technical depth, you will help engineers grow while maintaining a high bar for platform reliability and innovation.
- • You will collaborate closely with product managers and architects to translate business needs into technical priorities, own the operational health of the platform through monitoring, incident response, and on-call management, and establish governance practices that ensure data quality, lineage, and access control are built in from the start.

🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in data or software engineering, with at least 2 years managing engineering teams of 5 or more
- • Proven expertise in designing complex data systems, specifically in Semantic Layering and Data Sharing at enterprise scale
- • Hands-on experience with dbt and semantic models (e.g., MetricFlow), Snowflake, and SQL; familiarity with Spark, Python, and Snowpark is a plus
- • Experience with modern tooling such as Airflow, Kibana, Cursor, Claude CLI/Code, and data observability platforms like DataDog or Monte Carlo
- • Strong background in owning on-call processes, incident response, and defining operational metrics that drive team accountability
- • Solid command of CI/CD practices (e.g., GitHub Actions) and engineering best practices in data quality, lineage, and access control
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and articulate technical trade-offs effectively
