• • Within the Core Services organization, the Accounts & Security team is instrumental in building the client-facing security foundations that underpin all Kraken products. We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Enterprise Security team. This role is pivotal in developing enterprise-grade security features tailored for our largest clients and creating reusable security capabilities that will be integrated across the entire Payward portfolio. A key aspect of this role involves deep integration with our organizations and permissioning stack.
• • In this capacity, you will lead a dedicated team of engineers, collaborating closely with technical leaders to define strategic direction and ensure successful delivery of critical security initiatives. Your responsibilities will extend to cross-functional partnerships with Product Management, Security Operations, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and various stakeholder teams. The ultimate goal is to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly enterprise security solutions that uphold Kraken's reputation for excellence and trust.
• • The opportunity presented is to lead an engineering team focused on building cutting-edge client-facing enterprise security features. These features are designed to serve Kraken's most significant clients and to be a foundational element of the broader Payward portfolio. A significant part of this work will involve the design and implementation of robust libraries and microservices, with a strong emphasis on using Rust for its performance and safety characteristics.
• • You will be instrumental in delivering sophisticated Bring-Your-Own-Identity Provider (IdP) integrations, enabling our enterprise clients to seamlessly connect their existing identity management systems with Kraken's platform. Furthermore, you will architect and implement modern enterprise authentication flows, ensuring a secure and streamlined user experience. This includes building advanced provisioning and access automation capabilities, such as SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management), which will be tightly integrated with our organizational structures and permissioning stack.

You will guide the development of complex systems, leveraging powerful AI tools to enhance productivity, innovation, and problem-solving.
