- • Lead the future of digital healthcare across Latin America and Europe as an Engineering Manager at Feegow, the Brazilian arm of Docplanner Group—the world’s largest healthcare booking platform. You will steer a fully-remote, cross-functional squad of 6-10 engineers who build and scale products that connect 30 million patients with 130,000 healthcare professionals every month.
- • Own the end-to-end delivery of high-impact initiatives, from the first line of code to the last line of monitoring alerts. You will translate ambitious OKRs into clear technical roadmaps, balance feature velocity with platform reliability, and ensure every release moves the needle on patient access, clinic efficiency, and revenue growth.
- • Cultivate a culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement. You will run weekly 1:1s, craft individual growth plans, and champion knowledge-sharing rituals such as architecture guilds, lightning talks, and internal hack-days. Your coaching turns mid-level developers into tech leads and senior engineers into principal contributors.
- • Partner tightly with Product, UX, Data, and Medical Operations to discover what doctors, clinic administrators, and patients truly need. You will sit in discovery workshops, challenge assumptions with data, and negotiate scope so the team ships the smallest lovable product that delights users and can be iterated fast.
- • Drive technical excellence at scale. You will define coding standards, review architecture designs, and sponsor refactors that reduce technical debt by 20 % year-over-year. Expect to debate monolith vs. micro-frontends, optimize PostgreSQL queries that serve 5 k requests per second, and introduce event-driven patterns that decouple billing from booking.
- • Champion observability and reliability across AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform-managed infrastructure. You will set SLOs, lead blameless post-mortems, and roll out progressive deployment pipelines so new features reach production 50 % faster with zero downtime for end-users.
- • Shape the remote-first engineering culture for Brazil and beyond. You will pilot asynchronous rituals, select collaboration tools, and design onboarding that brings a new hire to full productivity in under 30 days—all while respecting time zones from UTC-5 to UTC+3.
- • Influence company-level strategy as part of the extended Engineering Leadership team. You will present quarterly business reviews to the CTO, allocate headcount across squads, and decide when to build in-house versus leverage SaaS or open-source solutions.
- • Mentor future leaders by creating transparent promotion rubrics and sponsoring under-represented groups in tech. Your leadership directly impacts Feegow’s goal of achieving 40 % women or non-binary engineers by 2025.
- • Stay close to the product and the patient. Twice a year you will shadow doctors and clinic staff, witnessing how your code reduces waiting-room lines, increases appointment adherence, and ultimately improves health outcomes for millions.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years leading remote, cross-functional teams in fast-growing SaaS or marketplace environments.
- • Proven fluency in at least one modern backend language (Kotlin, Java, Node.js, or Go) and comfort with React on the frontend; hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- • Demonstrated ability to balance product delivery with platform stability—track record of shipping features that increased revenue or user engagement while maintaining 99.9 % uptime.
- • Strong stakeholder management skills: you can negotiate scope, explain trade-offs to non-technical executives, and create alignment across Product, Design, and Operations.
- • Nice-to-have: prior experience in healthcare, fintech, or other highly-regulated industries with strict data-privacy and compliance requirements (LGPD, HIPAA).
