📋 Description
- • As an Engineering Manager for Guard Foundations at Lakera, you will lead a team of 10 engineers focused on infrastructure, performance, and scalability, owning the core systems that power Guard including observability, feature toggles, config management, rate limiting, auth, and caching layers.
- • You will drive engineering excellence by enabling high performance across Guard with clean interfaces, high-quality code, robust tests, and reliable deployments, while partnering with product teams to unblock innovation through reusable infrastructure components and tooling.
- • You will make performance a product feature by reducing latency, optimizing throughput, and increasing system reliability across the Guard stack, and coach and grow talent by mentoring engineers, hiring top performers, and shaping long-term technical direction with leadership.
- • You will support multiple deployment models (on-premise, SaaS), define and drive strategy for multi-cloud environments, and build the architectural and operational bedrock that accelerates innovation across all Guard teams at the intersection of performance, scale, and ML systems.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of engineering management experience leading platform teams
- • Strong systems thinking with deep understanding of architecture, performance, and operational resilience
- • Proven track record of building infrastructure that scaled with product growth and enabled developer velocity
- • Collaboration skills to work effectively with product, design, and engineering peers to unblock and accelerate others
- • Bias for action and accountability with focus on outcomes and clarity in ambiguity
- • People-first mindset to build high-trust, high-performance teams through coaching and care
