• • As an Engineering Manager for the Identity Verification (IDV) team at SEON Technologies, you will be at the forefront of shaping and delivering critical product advancements for a leading fraud prevention and AML compliance platform. This is a pivotal role where you will lead a highly skilled team of 6 senior full-stack engineers, empowering them to tackle SEON's most strategic initiatives and drive significant product developments. Your primary mission is to cultivate an environment of technical excellence, foster continuous improvement, and ensure the team's work is strategically aligned with SEON's ambitious business objectives.
• • You will be the driving force behind the team's technical vision, translating SEON's overarching goals into actionable strategies and inspiring your senior engineers to achieve remarkable outcomes. This involves defining clear technical direction, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap, and motivating the team to consistently deliver innovative, high-impact solutions that exceed expectations.
• • A core responsibility is the accountability for the successful, on-time delivery of complex and critical projects that are central to SEON's "biggest bets." This requires a deep understanding of project lifecycles, proactive risk management, and the ability to ensure the team consistently meets and surpasses predefined requirements and stringent quality standards.
• • You will champion technical excellence and innovation, guiding architectural decisions and fostering a culture where best practices in software design, security, code quality, performance, and scalability are not just encouraged but are integral to the team's workflow. This includes staying abreast of emerging technologies and encouraging their adoption where appropriate.
• • Proactive risk mitigation and effective problem-solving are paramount. You will lead the team in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating technical and operational risks associated with high-stakes projects. • • Acting as a key liaison, you will represent the IDV team in crucial discussions and collaborations with Product Management, Engineering Leadership, and Customer Success. This ensures seamless communication, strategic alignment on priorities, and a unified approach to product development and customer satisfaction.
• • You will continuously optimize and nurture the team's development methodologies and lifecycle, focusing on agility, predictability, rapid iteration, and delivering high-quality outcomes. This includes refining processes to enhance efficiency and responsiveness.
• • Establishing and refining processes for identifying, collecting, and strategically addressing technical debt is crucial for long-term product health. You will propose and lead technical improvement initiatives that not only enhance the team's efficiency but also bolster the robustness and maintainability of the product.
• • Leveraging metrics-driven improvement, you will analyze team and component-specific engineering data to derive actionable insights. These insights will be translated into strategies for continuous improvement, ensuring the team is always evolving and optimizing its performance.
