Engineering Manager (Infra / Edge)

📋 Description

• • Lead the Edge team within Foundations to ensure the performance, reliability, and security of Deliveroo’s global north/south traffic at the boundary between internal systems and the outside world.
• • Own and evolve the company’s Edge posture, including CDNs (Cloudflare/Fastly), traffic management, and network security patterns like WAFs and DDoS mitigation.
• • Drive delivery by setting priorities, breaking complex projects into iterative deliverables, and ensuring high-quality, on-time execution for high-blast-radius systems.
• • Mentor and develop engineers across levels, fostering psychological safety, high trust, and structured career progression.
• • Ensure operational excellence through SLOs/SLAs, monitoring, low-noise alerting, incident response leadership, and long-term preventative work.
• • Collaborate globally with Staff+ Engineers and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt to align on architecture, reliability standards, and global traffic routing.
