- • Lead a cross-functional engineering squad focused on building and scaling a system of record for inventory data that powers autonomous ordering and accounts payable automation within Nory’s platform, directly impacting restaurant operational efficiency and margins.
- • Drive team outcomes by setting direction, enabling delivery, coaching engineers, and ensuring reliable, high-impact product delivery while maintaining strong engineering standards.
- • Partner with Product, Data, Design, and Customer teams to deliver cutting-edge AI solutions, including LLMs for explainable AI, in the high-stakes domain of restaurant operations and inventory management.
- • Foster a high-performing, inclusive team culture grounded in accountability, clear communication, and continuous learning, supporting engineer growth and technical excellence in a fast-scaling, mission-driven environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience leading an engineering squad with accountability for team outcomes, health, and delivery.
- • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop engineers through structured 1:1s, feedback, and growth planning.
- • Experience delivering meaningful initiatives in cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, Design, Data) with measurable customer or commercial impact.
- • Technical credibility to guide architectural decisions, review code, and unblock teams when needed.
- • Strong product judgment to balance scope, trade-offs, and impact over output in collaboration with Product.
- • Systems thinking to reason about scale, reliability, data flow, and long-term maintainability.
- • Excellent communication skills to align engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
