- • Engineering Manager, Language Security (TuxCare) at CloudLinux Inc. leads a critical function responsible for delivering security patches for end-of-life and non-EOL open-source language runtimes and frameworks, ensuring enterprise clients can maintain secure, compliant systems without disruption.
- • The role involves leading and developing four specialized teams (~18 engineers) across Java, JavaScript/Go, Python, and PHP, setting technical direction, enforcing standards for CVE analysis and patch backporting, managing SLAs, and serving as the final escalation point for complex cross-team security issues.
- • TuxCare, a subsidiary of CloudLinux, specializes in providing Endless Lifecycle Support (ELS) for Linux and open-source software, offering automated live patching, vulnerability mitigation, and expert support for legacy and modern language ecosystems including Java, JavaScript/Node.js, Python, PHP, Go, Spring, Angular, Django, Flask, and more.
- • The Engineering Manager will drive technical excellence, build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, define hiring and development plans, align team efforts with client commitments, and gain deep expertise in open-source security, supply chain risks, and AI-assisted vulnerability remediation while scaling impact across global distributed teams.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong background in software development across multiple language ecosystems with at least 6 years of hands-on experience
- • 3+ years of engineering leadership experience (Team Lead or Engineering Manager) in a product company
- • Solid working knowledge of at least 3 of the 5 languages: Java, JavaScript, Go, Python, PHP
- • Hands-on experience with security research or vulnerability analysis: CVE triage, patch backporting, or similar
- • Experience with CI/CD systems (GitLab CI, Jenkins) and dependency management tooling (Maven/Gradle, npm, pip, Go modules)
