This pivotal role is central to our mission of scaling intelligence to serve humanity by training and deploying frontier AI models for developers and enterprises. You will be instrumental in enabling the widespread adoption of AI by leading a team dedicated to building and maintaining cutting-edge AI systems that power magical experiences such as content generation, semantic search, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and intelligent agents.
• • As the Engineering Manager for North, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day execution of a talented team of engineers. Your primary focus will be on fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing environment where innovation thrives. You will guide your team in the design, development, and deployment of scalable, robust features for North, Cohere's revolutionary AI workspace platform. This platform is designed to transform how enterprises leverage AI, offering a secure, customizable environment that ensures data control and seamless integration with existing workflows, connecting AI agents with essential workplace tools and applications.
• • You will embody end-to-end ownership, overseeing features from their inception through initial design and meticulous planning, to rigorous implementation, comprehensive testing, and successful delivery. This holistic approach ensures that the features developed not only meet but exceed user expectations and business objectives. A key aspect of this role involves applying your technical expertise to deliver solutions at speed, making pragmatic and informed technical decisions that strike an optimal balance between development velocity, technical depth, and uncompromising quality.
