- • Your responsibilities will encompass leading, nurturing, and supporting the platform team. This involves fostering a culture of ownership, reliability, and continuous improvement through effective coaching, setting clear expectations, and providing constructive feedback. You will be the driving force behind the platform strategy and roadmap, meticulously prioritizing initiatives, managing team capacity, and ensuring strong execution that translates into measurable impact.
- • You will provide essential technical direction for our AWS and Kubernetes-based platform. This includes guiding architectural decisions that strike a critical balance between development speed, system reliability, robust security, and cost-efficiency. A key part of your role will be overseeing our cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices, ensuring the team consistently delivers secure, resilient, and well-managed AWS environments.
- • Furthermore, you will champion improvements in our CI/CD processes and the overall developer experience. This involves setting strategic direction, aligning with various stakeholders, and proactively identifying and removing friction points for our product teams. A strong emphasis will be placed on observability and reliability; you will ensure the implementation of robust logging, metrics, tracing, and effective incident response practices to maintain high system uptime and performance.
- • Collaboration is key. You will partner closely with product managers, engineering leads, security experts, and operations specialists across the company. Your goal will be to align on standards, resolve cross-team issues efficiently, and support the seamless integration of various services. Maintaining the overall quality of our platform is paramount, which includes steering efforts in tech-debt reduction, ensuring comprehensive documentation, and upholding alignment with stringent security and compliance expectations.
- • This role requires a blend of technical acumen, leadership prowess, and a passion for building high-quality, scalable systems. You will be empowered to make significant technical decisions and influence the direction of our platform, contributing directly to Bunch's mission of redefining the private markets industry through technology.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role, managing and growing engineering teams.
- • Strong technical foundation in cloud technologies, specifically AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
- • Proven experience guiding teams in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure provisioning and deployments.
- • Solid understanding of observability principles, system reliability, and operating distributed systems at scale.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
