📋 Description

• As the Engineering Manager for the R37 Team at Phare, you will be at the forefront of revolutionizing healthcare financial performance through an AI-driven approach. This pivotal role is designed for a leader passionate about building and scaling cutting-edge AI capabilities within a dynamic, startup-like environment that is backed by substantial revenue, proven business value, and robust investment. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of revenue cycle management by leading a talented team of AI, data, and full-stack engineers.
• Your primary accountability will be the end-to-end success of AI projects, from conceptualization to delivery. This includes defining and executing the strategic roadmap for R37 s AI platform, ensuring seamless integration into our core products, and fostering an environment where innovation thrives. You will be responsible for organizing sub-teams effectively, empowering them to achieve ambitious goals, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, outcome-driven solutions.
• A core aspect of your role will be to lead and support your engineering team. This involves cultivating a high-performing culture through strategic recruitment, providing insightful mentorship, and implementing effective retention strategies. You will identify the optimal organizational structure, define necessary functions, and ensure your team has the resources and support needed to excel. Your leadership will directly impact the team's ability to deliver AI-native products that redefine industry standards.
• Collaboration is key to success in this role. You will work closely with product management, other engineering teams, AI research, and data science departments to align on strategic objectives and translate them into a concrete roadmap for AI product development. A significant part of this collaborative effort includes playing a key role in hiring, actively participating in the recruitment process, and ensuring a smooth and effective onboarding experience for new team members.
• You will be a driving force for innovation, particularly in 0-to-1 product areas. This involves actively exploring and implementing novel AI technologies and techniques to continuously enhance user experience and product capabilities. Your role will be to spearhead the exploration of new frontiers in AI, ensuring R37 remains at the cutting edge of the industry.
• Championing agile methodologies and robust DevOps practices will be central to your responsibilities. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement, emphasizing automated testing, operational excellence, and efficient software delivery and release cycles. This commitment to best practices will ensure agility, reliability, and speed in our development processes.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in hiring and leading engineering teams as an Engineering Manager, with a proven track record of recruiting exceptional talent to build high-performing, outcome-driven teams.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience leading teams that have built and scaled products such as Search, Ranking, or generative AI products.
• Strong excitement and curiosity for 0-to-1 product development, coupled with a track record of crafting fast-moving organizations that successfully transform innovative ideas into market-ready products.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Kotlin, or C++.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
