📋 Description

• As an Engineering Manager leading Vanta's Reporting team, you will lead a newly structured team focused on a critical product area within GRC Program Orchestration, shaping how customers understand, visualize, and operationalize their compliance and security programs.
• You will build and scale a high-performing team by leading, coaching, and growing engineers while hiring strategically, identifying operational gaps, and raising the engineering bar; drive execution across strategic initiatives including reporting infrastructure, enterprise reporting capabilities, AI-powered insights, and scalable data foundations; shape technical and product strategy by partnering with Product and cross-functional engineering teams to define long-term vision and architecture; lead through ambiguity and rapid growth by balancing near-term customer impact with long-term platform investments; and partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, Platform, and business stakeholders to evolve Vanta’s reporting strategy and enterprise data capabilities.

• In this role, you will develop leadership and strategic skills by managing 8-12+ engineers, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, setting product and technical strategy, and driving engineering-wide initiatives; you will gain experience in AI-powered reporting platforms, enterprise data infrastructure, and scaling data products while contributing to Vanta’s long-term AI strategy and critical product investments.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in a full-time engineering management role
• Proven experience managing 8-12+ engineers
• Previously managed product engineering teams building a reporting or data visualization product
• Strong technical depth—ideally as a former senior or staff engineer—with ability to guide data infrastructure and product architecture decisions
• Demonstrated track record of delivering results across multiple workstreams while maintaining quality and team velocity
• Experience setting product and technical strategy in partnership with Product and Design teams
