• • As an Engineering Manager for the Targeting team at Madhive, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of local media advertising technology. This role is pivotal in leading a team dedicated to the intricate processes of ingesting, processing, and organizing data that powers precise ad campaign targeting. You will be at the forefront of building and maintaining the sophisticated data science foundations for our forecasting tools, directly impacting the profitability and efficiency of businesses that rely on Madhive's innovative operating system. Your leadership will ensure that local media professionals can effectively extend their reach into streaming and connect with their target audiences at a national scale, driving the evolution of local advertising.
• • In this dynamic role, your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass leading and managing a high-performing team of cross-functional engineers. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of streaming data pipelines, from design and development to ongoing maintenance. This includes managing critical data partner integrations, ensuring the integrity and accessibility of our data warehousing solutions, and driving the development of advanced forecasting models and ML-driven audience construction techniques within a collaborative and agile development environment. A key aspect of your role will be to apply your deep expertise in Data and System Architecture to identify opportunities for streamlining data processes, acting as the technical north star for your team and guiding them towards optimal solutions. You will also guide your team in leveraging advanced statistical and machine learning models to innovate and build new, impactful offerings for our diverse customer base. Furthermore, you will be responsible for proactively identifying and managing cross-team dependencies, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration between multiple ongoing initiatives to ensure project success and alignment with broader company objectives.
• • You will also play a crucial role in talent management, actively hiring and nurturing engineers through dedicated mentorship and career advocacy. This involves setting clear goals, defining career paths, providing guidance on promotions, and fostering a motivating environment for your direct reports. To facilitate efficient workflows, you will lead daily standups, actively resolve blocked tasks, assist with meticulous planning and estimation processes, and host insightful retrospectives to drive continuous improvement. Ensuring a culture of operational excellence is paramount; you will manage and address on-call duties, and be prepared to respond effectively to production incidents as they arise. Finally, you will act as a key point of escalation, actively measuring and working to reduce the operational burden on your teams, all while maintaining a rigorous, data-driven approach to measuring and demonstrating team success.
